At Greendale Elementary Community School, our Growth Plan reflects our shared purpose of honouring, shaping, and inspiring our past, present, and future. Rooted in the Coast Salish philosophy of Tómiyeqw—thinking deeply about our actions and their impact on the seven generations before and ahead—we are committed to creating a caring and connected learning community where every child thrives.
Guided by the Chilliwack School District’s Strategic Plan, our work is centered on Student Success through four key goals:
Literacy: Empowering learners to access knowledge, express ideas, and find joy in reading and communication through inclusive and evidence-informed instruction.
Numeracy: Building number sense, confidence, and curiosity by engaging students in creative, real-world problem solving.
Well-Being: Fostering safe, inclusive environments where students, staff, and families feel valued and supported—embracing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of health.
Transitions: Supporting smooth, thoughtful transitions for all learners from early years through to middle school by strengthening communication, collaboration, and self-advocacy skills.
Together, we are shaping compassionate, curious, and courageous learners who are prepared to contribute meaningfully to a changing world—guided by truth, reconciliation, and shared responsibility for our collective future.
